Erin uses mid-range, high-fire clays and glazes to create pieces that reflect her emotional state in the moments of making. Both the forming and glazing processes serve as opportunities to channel and express emotion. Within the same piece, the form and the glaze may or may not share the same emotional resonance. The resulting harmony or dissonance can be striking—like a mouse in a fitted suit or a sunset over the ocean.
